明治後期の金融界の重鎮であり、大正から昭和初期まで首相、蔵相をつとめた政治家 高橋是清の邸宅跡地にある公園です。赤坂台地の高台にあたるこのエリアは、江戸時代は大名屋敷地、明治以降は高官や士族の邸宅地となってきた場所です。現在は赤坂御所や大使館、マンションの敷地に変わりましたが、豊かな緑と赤坂の歴史を感じる佇まいを残しています。

＊公園の施設と設備
敷地面積約1,600坪の公園内は、趣のある庭園エリアと遊具スペースにわかれています。
青山通り沿いの入り口には、すべり台、砂場のある遊具スペースがあり、その奥は、木々に囲まれた庭園スペースとなっています。池、石橋、石灯籠のほか、高橋是清翁像や石碑などが配置され、日本庭園の趣があり、都心にいながら自然のなかの心地よい静寂と歴史、自然を感じることができます。

＊公園の四季
園内には色鮮やかなアジサイが植えられ、初夏を彩ります。夏場は水辺と緑から自然の涼が感じられ、秋はイロハモミジ・ケヤキなどの迫力ある紅葉がみられるなど、四季折々の表情があります。

This park is on the site of the former estate of politician Takahashi Korekiyo, a leading figure in finance in the late Meiji era, who served as Prime Minister and Minister of Finance from Taisho to the early Showa era. The area on the high ground of the Akasaka plateau was the site of a daimyo's estate during the Edo period (1603–1868), and residences of high-ranking officials and warriors from the Meiji era (1868–1912) onwards. Today, it is home to the Akasaka Palace, embassies, and condominiums, but it retains its lush greenery and Akasaka's historical character.

* Park facilities
The playground with a slide and sandbox can be found by the Aoyama Street entrance, while the wooded gardens are on the far side. In addition to a pond, a stone bridge, and stone lanterns, a statue of Takahashi Korekiyo and stone monuments have been placed to suggest a Japanese garden, enabling visitors to feel comforting tranquility, history, and nature even in the heart of the city.

* The park throughout the four seasons
The park offers a variety of seasonal beauties. In early summer, vibrant hydrangeas add color, while the water and greenery provide a sense of natural coolness. In autumn, the impressive colored leaves of Japanese maple and zelkova trees can be enjoyed.
